SOFTBALL QUEBEC'S MEMBERS INSURANCE Softball Quebec automatically offers an incident and liability insurance to all members (players, coaches, administrators, volunteers, etc) at very low cost. Sleep tight and avoid any troubles! You are planning to organize a tournament? For only $100, your committee and all participants can be covered for the whole event's duration. Umpires also get a full coverage regardless of their level or chosen package. Many players may get private insurances through their work. These players can also beneficiate from Softball Quebec's insurance plan as a complementary insurance as their private insurance may not cover the full amount of their claim or may include a deductible. Players who do not have the chance of having private insurances will have the same benefit as their teamates. Furthermore, administrators are never covered by their private or personal insurances. This option is a must for all administrators as it allow them to cover themselves adequately. Your city says that they have their own insurances? Do not get fool! In case of injury, the city will not cover the cost related to it, you will have to go in the court of law to prove that the city made a mistake by letting you play on their field (bad maintenance, etc) in order to get compensation. Here is a quick idea of what Softball Quebec's insurance is all about (partial or complete refund): - Amnulance transportation - Hospital fees - Wheel chair or crutch rental - Medication - Required treatments (physio, therapy, chiro, etc.) - Glasses or contact lenses replacement fees - Dental fees following an injury - Compensation in case of fracture - Benefit in case of total and permanent disability - Legal liability during softball activities, fundraising activities, etc. - Etc. The above claim possibilities are only examples, the insurance company may refuse a claim based on the circumstances.
