FASTPITCH AT THE QUEBEC GAMES What a great experience! The Quebec Games (Les Jeux du Québec) are organized by Sports Quebec. Every two years, the Quebec Games are held in a different region and many sports are presented, including softball. Sports Quebec establishes some participation criterias. Among them, a minimum of 14 regions must participate in order for a sport to be part of the Quebec Games. This is the main reason why only girls softball are presented at the Quebec Games as boys softball is not active in 14 regions of the province of Quebec. The next games will take place in Shawinigan, in August 2012 in the Bantam category (15-16 years old) To be able to participate, all teams must have participated in regional qualifiers in 2011. Softball presents two divisions at the games. The first one is the A division where most teams are part of the LFFEQ (AA development league for regional teams). The second division, the B one, welcomes teams from remote areas that are not part of LFFEQ. All information regarding the Quebec Games can be found in the Softball Quebec's Livre Bleu.
