LIGUE DE FASTPITCH FÉMININE ÉLITE DU QUÉBEC (LFFEQ)

Formally known as la Ligue de Softball mineure du Québec (LSMQ), LFFEQ welcomes regional teams (AA calibre) from the whole province of Quebec. A special A program also exist for the mite category (11-12 years old).

All teams present the top players from their region in each category and play a schedule of games from May to September each year.

Although games are only planned during the summer, training starts early in gyms to ensure players can develop their skills to their highest potential. Players can join that league as of 11 years old.

Teams evolving in LFFEQ will compete in many tournaments during the summer, one being very important is the AA Provincial Championship where the winners will have the honnor to represent the Province of Quebec at the Eastern Canadian Championship. This competition is held at the end of the summer.

Teams in the Bantam division (15-16 years old) will also have the chance to play in the Quebec Games competition every 2 years. The next Quebec Games will be held in 2012.

All LFFEQ teams are welcome to participate to the Montreal International Fastpitch Challenge in the PeeWee category (13-14 years old), the Bantam category (15-16 years old) and the Midget category (17-18-19 years old).

The LFFEQ works closely with the Softball Quebec Excellence program, mostly the Quebec Teams one.
