FOR SOFTBALL PASSIONATES WHO WANT MORE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Sport-Etude program is one of the greatest program that is offered by Softball Quebec. It does not only welcome elite players but also players who want to improve their softball skills with the top coaches in Quebec and be able to play 12 months a year in great indoor and outdoor facilities. St-Gabriel school in Ste-Therese is offering the high school program on top of the Claude Robillard Complex in Montreal for Cegep and Univeristy athletes. Each centre has diamonds walking distance which is great for fall and spring training outside. For the winter period, indoor facilities are organized such as a great program can be run. Players train in average 15 hours per week and some games are also organized between centers. This program has evolved a lot since it's creation and cost are quite low and based on the facilities, number of athletes, etc. Some fundraising activities are made available to help any athlete who would like to join the Sport-Etude Softball Program. The training program is built towards fastpitch but also on other activities to make sure players learn while having fun in a school environment. WHO CAN REGISTER? All softball players in Quebec can register to the Softball Sport-Etude program as long as they meet the academic standards. It is therefore important to have great student skills to become a great student-athlete as school remains the top priority. Players with less softball experience will receive a very specific training program and will improve very fast. The program is available to boys and girls althoug most players are female. WHO ARE THE COACHES? The coaches are professionals and not volunteers. They are hired through the Softball Quebec Excellence Program. Their training skills is very demanding and their mandatory level 3 certification assures a high quality service. HOW CAN I REGISTER?
